How to plan dinner with friends without endless messages
A simple way to agree on a date, sort out the food and turn “we should meet up” into an actual evening together.
“We should have dinner soon.” Everyone agrees. Then come the dates, the maybes and the messages you meant to answer. Make the next step small: choose a few options and give the group one place to respond.
Start with three realistic dates
Try Friday at 7 pm, Saturday at 6:30 pm or Sunday at 6 pm. Check your own availability first. A short list is easier to answer than “When is everyone free?”
Share one date poll
Create a letmeet, suggest your dates and share the link. Friends can vote in their browser without an account or an app download. Ask them to answer by a specific time, such as Wednesday evening. That deadline is your agreement with the group, not an automatic reminder.
Choose a date and confirm it
Compare the answers and choose the option that works best. If someone cannot come, talk to them before finalizing. The organizer makes the final choice. Already have a date? Skip the poll.
Agree on food, budget and the meeting point
Before booking or buying anything, check dietary needs and a comfortable budget. For dinner at home, divide up what everyone brings. In the app, keep the details in the meetup chat and use the shared list to coordinate contributions.
Enjoy the evening
Location sharing is optional. Afterwards, use the app’s shared album for your photos. Download the ones you want to keep: the meetup, chat and album expire after the chosen period, from one to seven days after the meetup starts.
